Day 1: Nairobi City
Arrival at Nairobi JKIA and will be met by our representative and transferred to your city Hotel Boulevard for Overnight.

Day 2: Nairobi City – Mt. Kenya
Breakfast and then picked by our driver, and head north to Mount Kenya Region to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch relax or you may take an afternoon nap. You can make an optional visit to the Mau Mau caves; these caves were used as hideouts as well as shelter by the pre- independent freedom fighters that fought the British Colonial Government the vast thick forests of Mt. Kenya and Aberdares Ranges. They are situated in the deep thick forests region with large tress and great rocks. This made them ideal for protection against the heavy bombardments. (Optional excursion to visit Kikuyu Cultural Villages at an extra cost).

After lunch you may opt to spend the rest of the afternoon bird watching at the Naru Moru River Lodge grounds. Narumoru is an excellent birding spot especially at the lodge’s grounds and the small forest along the river. Here we will be looking for such species as Olive, Hartlaub’s Turaco, Cinnamon-Chested Bee-eater, Crowned and Silvery-Cheeked Hornbills, Cape Wagtail, Black Saw-wing, Yellow-Whiskered, Slender-Billed and Mountain Greenbuls, White-Starred Robin, Cape and Ruppell’s Robin Chats, African Dusky Flycatcher, Cinnamon Bracken Warbler, Hunter’s Cisticola, Chestnut-Throated, Grey and Black-Throated Apalis, Grey-Capped Warbler, White-Browed Crombec, Montane White-Eye, White-Bellied Tit, Tropical Boubou, Grey Cuckoo-Shrike, Montane Oriole, White-Headed Wood Hoopoe, Eastern and Northern Double-Collared Sunbird (among other six species), Brown-Capped Weavers, Thick-Billed Seed-Eater and Yellow-Crowned Canary. All meals and Overnight at Naromoru River Lodge.

Day 3: Mt. Kenya – Aberdare National park
Breakfast and drive to Nyeri at the Outspan Hotel where a country style lunch will be served. In the afternoon you will be transferred into the Aberdare National Park to Treetops for an evening of nocturnal game watching experience. Dinner and overnight at Treetops.

Day 4: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru
Breakfast drive south and Head west, making a brief stopover at Thomson Falls and then drive southward to Lake Nakuru town to arrive in time for Dinner & overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Kakamega Forest
Today we leave Lake Nakuru and head to an isolated remnant of the equatorial rain forest that once spread over Africa from west to east. It contains an excellent representation of bird, animal, and plant species including an array of primates. Kakamega forest through Eldoret. Kakamega forest’s aviauna is rich and unusual in its composition. Two globally threatened species reside here, Chapins Flycatcher and Turners Eremomela. The aviauna is unique not only nationally but also continentally; the forest holds large populations of Black and white colobus and Red tailed monkeys among others. Dinner and Overnight Rondo Retreat Center.

Day 6/7: Kakamega Forest
Full day bird walk at the eastern most extension of the great tropical rain forest stretching from west Africa. This forest is renowned for its uniqueness and richness in bird life and species like, Turners Eremomela, Black billed Turaco, Great blue turaco, Cameroon Sombre Green bull, Little grey Green bull, Yellow Bellied Wattle eye, Purple-throated cuckoo, Hairy Breasted Barbet, Grey breasted Illadopsis, African Grey Parrot, Square tailed drongo and Chapins Flycatcher. Lunch, Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Rondo Retreat Center or similar.

Day 8: Kakamega – Nairobi

Day 1: Arrival Nairobi
Arrival at Nairobi JKIA will be met by our company representative and transferred to Hotel Boulevard for Overnight.

Day 2: Nairobi – Aberdares
Depart Nairobi and drive north to Nyeri and the Outspan Hotel. A country style lunch at Outspan Hotel. In the afternoon transfer into the Aberdare National Park to Treetops for an evening of nocturnal game watching. Dinner and Overnight at KWS Banda’s.

Day 3: Aberdares – Samburu
Return to the Outspan for breakfast and after depart for Samburu National Reserve to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park famous as the place for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribesmen, the reticulated giraffe, the Gravy’s zebra gerenuk, Beisa Oryx and a host of the big game including elephants and lions. Samburu is located north of the central mountains and the equator. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sentrim.

DAY 4: Samburu

Morning and afternoon game viewing in search of the Big five, Gravy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Graceful Gerenuk and Reticulated Giraffe. Game viewing drives at Samburu in search of the rarely found species of wild game like the rare liver-red reticulated giraffe, gravy’s zebra, the long necked gerenuk, antelopes, Beisa, Oryx, blue flanked Somali ostrich, vulturine guinea fowl and also braving lions on the grass, leopards in the trees and plenty of other plains game. In between meals there is optional visit to the Samburu villages if clients so wish at an extra cost. All meals and Overnight at Samburu Sentrim.

Day 5: Samburu – Lake Nakuru
Breakfast and drive around the northern part of the Aberdares Range to descend into the Great Rift Valley, with a brief stopover at the Thompson Falls in Nyahururu, then drive on to Lake Nakuru for a truly remarkable game drive that includes flamingoes as well as the rare white rhino in this world famous ornithological paradise with over 450 species of bird life. This lake is famous for its million plus flamingos. A shimmering hot-pink glow emanates across the lake, created by millions of flamingos, which migrate along the Great Rift Valley Lakes. Pelicans, cormorants and Marabou storks also feed on the abundant algae in the warm, shallow alkaline water. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at the Waterbuck Hotel.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Lake Bogoria
Depart Nakuru for Lake Bogoria to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, proceed to the spectacular Lake Bogoria, which is a shallow soda lake with beautiful scenery and also home to a sizable number of flamingoes and other species of birds. The highlight, however, is the boiling hot springs and geysers, which also contribute to the beauty of the lake. Afternoon at leisure with an option of either having a dip at the swimming pool or a guided bird walk. Optional Boat trip to see the hippos and crocodiles is available at an extra cost.

Day 7: Lake Bogoria – Lake Naivasha
On this day our safari will be destined for Lake Naivasha, the only fresh water lake in the Rift Valley, arriving in Naivasha in time for lunch at the lodge. The lake is home to a large colony of hippos and it’s also a haven for bird watchers and researchers since over 400 different species of birds have been recorded here. The lake’s location and wildlife makes it an ideal place for an afternoon boat ride $20 extra. You can also decide to take walks in the famous Naivasha Gorge or visit to the liberating Crescent Island at an extra $20, which is completely undeveloped, wild and free, is one of the few places on earth where you can walk among herds of zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, giraffe and dikdiks. There are no predators and no fences so it will be quite a liberating and exciting feeling to walk among the wildlife. Day 01: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning for Nakuru to arrive at Waterbuck Hotel for lunch and later leave for an afternoon game drive which will reveal a prolific bird life including flamingos, white pelicans and the marabou stock among others. Waterbuck and Cape buffalo can be seen near the shoreline. Rothschild’s giraffe and the white rhino are additional attractions among other species of plains game and cats like lion. Day 02: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve
Morning breakfast and after depart Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara to arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Mara Sidai camp.

Day 03: Masai Mara Game Reserve
Morning and afternoon game drives from the comfortable base of the lodge, explore the park’s amazing high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya ‘s finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. Although July, August and September are the months when the Mara plains are filled with migrating wildebeest and zebra, there is also resident wildlife year round. Day 04: Masai Mara – Nairobi

Return to the Outspan for breakfast, and then drive around the northern part of the Aberdares Range to descend into the Great Rift Valley, with a brief stopover at the Thompson Falls in Nyahururu, and then drive on to Lake Bogoria to view flamingos and the hot springs. Lake Bogoria is a shallow soda lake hosting thousands of pink flamingoes, a large number of other birds and the lesser kudu. Scalding hot springs and geysers at the southern end of the lake spurt and steam their alkaline waters.
