After breakfast leave Kampala cross the equator, driving through Masaka stopping in Mbarara for lunch. Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, check-in at Mweya Safari Lodge for your overnight stay. In the afternoon, set out on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel connecting Lakes Edward and George. Here we will be greeted to an amazing display of abundant bird-life around Mweya, more than 600 bird species have been recorded and what is thought to be the highest concentration of hippos in the entire African continent. We will then return to our hotel for some chilled soft drinks and dinner. Full board.
We set out early in the morning after breakfast and go on a game drive in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes etc. We visit the Kasenyi sector famous for its solitary buffaloes. We have an high chance of viewing just about every animal here at very close range. We return for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, we set out to visit the Baboon cliff and the crater lakes north of the park. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight rest. . Full board.
We set off early in the morning and head to the Kyambura wildlife reserve. Here we will be able to track the chimpanzee in the tropical rain forest. We hike into the Kyambura river gorge as we search for the chimps. The beautiful river valley is home to many species of birds and butterflies. Thereafter drive through Masaka up to Entebbe Airport for your flight out.
